Our Ideal Candidate:
An attorney with at least three to five years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law, who is licensed in North Carolina. Exceptional legal research and writing skills required.
What will I work on?
Primarily, you will work on class, collective, and representative actions challenging wage theft, employee misclassification, and workplace discrimination. You will have a very active role in all cases, including working closely with clients and potential clients; investigating new cases; handling discovery; taking and defending depositions; writing and arguing motions; participating in negotiations and mediations; and representing employees in arbitrations. We want you to think, act, and talk like an owner.
You can also expect to work on negotiating severance agreements and non-competes; helping workers understand their rights in discriminatory circumstances. Your practice will be high touch, with an emphasis on human interactions. The ideal candidate understands managing personalities plus deadlines.
