(June 8th, 2020 – Charlotte, North Carolina) GessnerLaw, PLLC is pleased to welcome our 2020 Summer Law Clerk, Lucy Green. Lucy was chosen after interviewing a competitive group of candidates from top schools across the country.
Lucy Green has joined the GessnerLaw team for the summer of 2020. “Lucy has an obvious passion and drive to help people and make a difference,” said owner and founder of GessnerLaw, Michelle Gessner. “We committed to Lucy before the COVID-19 pandemic and for many firms, summer clerkships were the first to be cut or greatly reduced. We’re very pleased we are able to continue to bring Lucy on and hopefully deliver an educational, yet fun and rewarding, summer clerk experience.”
Green is a rising second year student at the University of North Carolina School of Law and is very intrigued to learn more about employment law while continuing her passion for helping others. Lucy had several other options for summer employment, but chose to join the GessnerLaw team because she wanted to work for a smaller law firm to help others and make a difference.
“Bringing on Green is a win-win situation for both our firm and for Lucy,” said Gessner. “The work we do to help employees, at all levels, has a significant impact on our client’s lives,” said Gessner. “And the hands on work experience and knowledge Lucy will gain will be valuable as she continues achieving her law degree.”
GessnerLaw remains committed to giving back and helping to grow and develop young lawyers.
